A SPECULATIVE USER MANUAL FOR A WEARABLE TECH PROTOTYPE

As part of a class project to create a piece of wearable technology and user guide, I created a bend sensor out of wearable materials. The accompanying guide explains how this prototype was made, and gives examples of a fictional user interface that could exist, catering to the consumer of a future in which social interactions have become so few and far between that the act of speaking itself has become a metric worth self-monitoring. As this project in speculative in nature, the guide largely serves as a critique of the assumptions often made by biometric tracking devices and programs.
